Happy Anniversary Number 22

Wow! on February the 9th , 22 years of wedded bliss *cough* *cough* how does Charli put up with me. It must be the charm, good looks and endless passion. Whoops got carried away there for a second, nothing like pumpin' up your own tyres every now and then.

We had no real plans prior to our anniversary as usual, (other than last years surprise weekend in Noosa) we normally wing it on the night and this year wasnt any different. We donned the casual clothes, jumped in the car and went looking for a nice resteraunt. We found Yings Chinese resteraunt by accident, it just happened to be in a place Charli decided to do a U turn. So we parked the car and went in too check it out and we were ushered to a table. The Banquet we chose was awesome and who would have thought you can set fire to ice cream. Mmmmmmm!

Fortunately the lady who waited on our table was the owner of Yings. I say fortunately because she was this bundle of energy, cracking jokes and having a ball. she obviously loved her work.
After getting to now her and chatting to some regular customers this wonderful lady turned out to be Phylis Chan the mother of Carmin Chan. Carmin was the young 6 year old girl that was found murdered in Thomastown 10 years ago. (a suspected victim of the scum of the earth Mr. Baldy)

Charli and I had a great night, Phylis made me pay the bill by threatening me with a baseball bat. According to Phylis "woman no pay, man pays". I hope Charli pays me back but just in case
22 years suggests I shouldn't hold my breath waiting...... LOL... :-)

MRI Update

I've had interim results from the MRI yesterday. All is not good, it seems the Spinal cord nerve is still impinged by the original damaged disc.

The new MRI films have been returned to the hospital for a comparison report of the original films.

Next step is a visit to the surgeon for further advice.

Lifting My Game

Thanks Peter, I needed a kick in the pants :-)

Firstly, I have a confirmed appointment at the Hospital on 19th Feb. for an MRI to investigate the new developements of pain related to my back injury. I will keep everybody posted on the results. As they say, watch this space.

And now for a little humour to cheer up your day:

The Dam

An elderly man in Queensland had owned a large property for several years.
He had a dam in the next paddock, fixed up nice - picnic tables,horse shoe courts, and some mango and avocado trees.
The dam was properly shaped and fixed up for swimming when it was built.
One evening the old farmer decided to go down to the dam, as he hadn't been there for a while, to look it over. He grabbed a five gallon bucket to bring back some fruit. As he neared the dam, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee. As he came closer he saw it was a bunch of young women skinny-dipping in his dam.

He made the women aware of his presence and they all went to the deep end. One of the women shouted to him, "We're not coming out until you leave!"The old man frowned, "I didn't come down here to watch you ladies swim naked or make you get out of the dam naked. Holding the bucket up he said, "I'm here to feed the crocodile.

"Moral: Old men might walk slow, but they can still think fast".
